Bethan Ashton lives in Northumberland, United Kingdom. Coming from a dance and choreography background, Bethan recently added playing the drums to her list of musical talents. Bethan finds community in the likeminded members of the POUND family and pairs the workout with her kindness to help people feel good about themselves. Bethan encourages participants to bring it back to the moment, trust in themselves and find peace in today.

What’s a great book you’ve read recently?
Into the Wind by Jake Ducey.
What’s the most courageous thing you’ve ever done?
Told “my story” of being diagnosed with Crohn’s at age 11 and needing emergency surgery to save my life, and getting an illiostomy. I was ashamed and embarrassed for a long time, but I got the balls to open up and say its ok, yes, I’m a little different but what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. I’m beautiful regardless of having a stoma.
If you had two hours left on earth what would you do?
Have a beach party with live music, food, drink and all my friends and family <3

Jess McKee, it’s no secret.
What’s something you never leave home without?
A sense of humor.
What’s the best thing that ever happened to you?
That I started to like myself and believe in myself.
How do you show your love for others?
I like to give cards/postcards with little notes of love and appreciation.
Who’s your favorite rockstar (actual or figurative) and why?
John Fred Young – drummer from Black Stone Cherry. He’s talented, funny and a badass musician.
