Whether we’re lovin’, eatin’, or sweatin’, we know that exercising our HEARTS is at the tiptop of the priority list!

 

Today, in conclusion of a full February of LOVE, we’re going to literally show you how to think, munch and POUND your way to a stronger, healthier HEART. Time to feed that LOVE muscle, in every way possible!

 

First, EAT your way to a healthier heart with our DIVINE 9 favor heart-savin’, artery protectin’ healthy foods!! Here they are:

1. Flaxseed:
Rich in Omega-3 fatty acids– amazing anti-inflammatory agents that reduce arterial plaque, and our BFF, fiber.

 

2. Red Kidney Beans
High in B-complex vitamins, which protect against blot clots and increase HDL levels and magnesium, which lowers blood pressure.

 

3. Carrots
Packed with alpha-carotene, a heart-protecting antioxidant and rich in fiber.

 

4. Raw Almonds
A great source of vitamin E, which protects cells from free radical damage, and loaded with heart-happy mono and polyunsaturated fats.

 

5. Berries
Full of polyphenols that lower bad (LDL) cholesterol levels and abundant in fiber.

 

6. Red Bell peppers
Rich in beta-carotene and lutein (carotenoids) that protect the heart, and B-complex vitamins that prevent hardening of the arteries.

 

7. Oranges
Rich in a broad spectrum of carotenoids and flavonoids which lower blood pressure and reduce bad cholesterol.

 

8. Tomatoes
Jam-packed with beta- and alpha-carotene, lycopene, lutein (carotenoids), all carotenoids that protect the heart and lower blood pressure.
