New York-based ICON, Hollie Raux, is a mother of 3 and a successful fitness business owner. From a young age Hollie knew that all things health, sports and fitness were her calling. She has dabbled in all of it from field hockey and softball, to the challenging bikini body building and power lifting world to personal training and the badass group fitness world which of course, brought her to POUND!! Hollie’s love for POUND started when she realized it was more than a workout for her – it was 45 minutes of loud, aggressive, rockout therapy! “Hello! When else is it ok to sneak off. make a ton of noise and hit stuff??!” Hollie is known for the loud, humorous and wild energy she brings to class! Hollie can’t wait to meet all the new POUND Pros at her trainings.What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“When you express gratitude everyday, you give yourself the gift of experiencing the joy of gratitude everyday. Give yourself that gift today.” I’m big on daily personal development. This is from one of my favorite books called “Miracle Morning” written by Hal Elrod. After reading this I picked up a new inspirational planner and each week I jot down things that I am grateful for.
What activity do you do that makes you feel most like yourself?
All things fitness! Whether I’m training alone at the gym, teaching a class or rocking out all day while presenting at a POUND Pro Training, it’s what I know, love and am passionate about. Lucky for me, this passion of mine is also my career!
What’s something you hope people will say about you once you’re gone?
What comes to mind immediately is a picture I saw on Instagram recently that read “Aspiring Beam of Light”. I hope they’ll remember me as being full of positivity, energy and being kind.. oh, and hilarious! I like to make people laugh.
What’s the best thing that’s ever happened to you?
Becoming a Mommy! My babies, Connor (3 years) and Diem (5 months) are the coolest little nuggets ever. I’m so lucky to spend my days laughing, cuddling and watching them grow. Being their Mommy is my favorite!
What superpower would you most like to have?
I would love to have the power to heal! Like John Coffey in the movie The Green Mile! I would be healing peeps like crazy! Alzheimer’s, cancer and all serious diseases would be history!
