AMY WARD

POUND’s Pro Success Manager

Amy Ward is from Amesbury, MA, and is the wife of Ryan and mother to Huxley. Having grown up as a classical ballerina, Amy has always been captivated by the power of music and the art of movement. She has been a part of the fitness industry since 2006. In 2015, she launched her POUND journey as a POUND Pro, joined the ICON team in 2017, and became part of POUND HQ in 2020 as the Pro Success Manager. She holds Group Fitness Certifications from ACE and AFFA, along with Red Cross CPR/AED certification.

She is committed to fostering environments where everyone is celebrated, welcomed, and encouraged to express their individuality. Her goal is to continue raising awareness about the importance of human connection, boost confidence and self-esteem, lead by example, and positively impact lives. Amy infuses her trainings with expertise, dependability, and a sense of empowerment!

How do you help someone who’s stepping out of their comfort zone for the first time?

If you’re feeling nervous, nothing’s wrong — that’s your body responding to something unfamiliar. Once we name that discomfort, it no longer gets to lead.

What’s a non-fitness skill that makes you a stronger teacher?

Empathy — understanding that every person walks in carrying something different, and teaching with that awareness.

Who is your favorite POUND artist?

Imagine Dragons — the combination of lyrics, beat, and raw energy makes their music incredibly powerful and motivating.

What’s your post-training ritual or treat?
French fries! They can be straight, curly, waffle, but they have to be hot, salty and crispy!
