What is the difference between an active POUND Instructor and an inactive POUND Instructor that still teaches the format?

An active POUND Instructor is a licensed POUND Pro with a current subscription to The Label. This means they’re officially certified to teach, they’re receiving updated choreography and music, and they have access to all Pro resources that keep their classes safe, accurate, and aligned with POUND standards.

An inactive POUND Instructor is someone whose Label subscription has been cancelled or has lapsed. Once a Pro becomes inactive, they’re no longer licensed to teach any POUND format. They don’t have access to choreography updates, safety guidelines, or teaching resources, and they’re not authorized to offer classes under the POUND name.

For participants and facilities, this difference matters because only active Pros can deliver classes that follow the official POUND program, safety structure, and current choreography.

If you ever need to verify an instructor’s status, you can always email us at POUND HQ, and we’ll confirm whether someone is certified and actively licensed to teach.

We’re here to help keep every class safe, consistent, and ready to ROCK.
