POUND’s Events Manager
Originally from the Philippines and now rocking out in NYC, EmVP fell in love with POUND the minute she walked into the first Manila POUND Pro Training in 2017. With her dance background, Em loved the way POUND brings an incredible vibe of choreography and movement. She believes that every workout experience should be one that brings you bliss, and she found that with POUND and its amazing community. Em is an incredibly passionate person with other pursuits such as, Kettlebell Sport, Instructional Design, Events Planning, and Podcast Hosting. She hopes to always inspire people to be their best, most authentic selves.
If you could live in any TV home, what would it be?
Monica Geller’s home in Friends! It’s always clean and it’s cozy. Plus, the gang is always there!
What’s a great book you’ve read recently?
‘You are a Bada$$’ by Jen Sincero — because you are! Never forget that!
What’s the first thing you do when you get home from a trip?
Lie in bed and just take it all in! Look back to the trip, all the wonderful things that happened, all the wonderful people that I have met, etc.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?
“LIFE ALWAYS WORKS OUT.” We tend to worry and freak out as if it’s the end of the world. But, we need to remind ourselves – Life will always, always work out.
If you had two hours left on earth what would you do?
Gather the people I love in my living room, watch a comedy movie, and put my head on my dad’s shoulders and close my eyes.
What makes you feel supported?
I feel supported when I get pats on the back and random hugs. I’m a pretty independent person, and so it means a lot to hear somebody say “I’m proud of you.”
What’s the best thing that ever happened to you?
Honestly??? Having found POUND! The community and the experience is really just life-changing.
What superpower would you most like to have?
Power to be a copycat! When you want to learn a new skill, all you need is to watch a video and then you are immediately bestowed a new ability. It would be interesting to quickly learn Kung Fu or how to fix leaky water pipes just by watching videos.
What do you want people to say about you once you’re gone?
“She’s crazy, but the good kind. And we love her to bits”
How do you show your love for others?
I listen to them. I love listening to people’s stories. I love connecting with human beings. I give them love by listening to them, telling them they matter to me, and giving away free warm hugs! — the best kind!
