Cassie Martinson is from Scituate, MA and has been teaching dance and fitness since the day she turned 18. Cassie’s professional experience includes teaching POUND®, Generation POUND®, POUND Unplugged®, Barre, Cycle and an extensive background in dance. Cassie co-owns a dance studio where she teaches children ages 2 through 18 a variety of dance styles. She is passionate about being outdoors and spending quality time with her friends and family. Cassie’s love for POUND® started immediately after her first POUND® class in 2013. The ability to workout not just with the music, but in it, was something she had never experienced. Cassie loves that POUND® has given her the ability to work with all populations, incorporating all of her loves – education, movement, music, and fitness – into one! She truly believes in POUND’s mission to change minds before bodies, and in spreading this movement of fitness REBELS. Cassie can’t wait to rock out with you and give you the permission to ROCK!
What’s the one thing you always tell your class before starting?
Just let loose and have FUN! There are no “wrong moves”, simply drum solos!
What’s a non-fitness skill that makes you a stronger teacher?
Good classroom management – I can read a room really well and adapt my teaching to it.
What’s your all-time favorite track to end POUND class with a bang?
Untouched by The Veronicas
What is your first POUND memory?
The first class I ever took in 2012 at Secret Physique with the amazing Jenny Anania – it was the first time I had truly let loose in a LONG time.
