They travel the world as an extension of POUND to elevate our united beat, one POUND Pro at a time. They are the educators, the rebels, the humble and electric. With different life and career experiences, personalities and uniqueness, they are the true representation of our BRAND. Let them inspire you, let them MOVE you.

RACHEL BURNHAM

Rachel Burnham is an Ohio based ICON. Growing up as a tap dancer, she was instantly drawn to the rhythms found in POUND, as well as the combination of movement and music. Becoming a POUND Pro was Rachel’s first step into the group exercise realm and it was love at first strike.  She is now an ACE and AFAA certified group exercise instructor and her goal is to help others find joy through movement.  Rachel and her husband also own a boutique fitness studio called Rockstar Wellness LLC, in Marietta, Ohio and strive to build a strong community through fitness.

What are your 3 earliest memories in life?
Visits to my grandpa & grandma’s house

Playing in the greenhouses on the family farm

Riding tractors with my dad.

If you could live in any TV home, what would it be?
The Tanner home on Full House

If you could have dinner with anyone from history, who would it be?
I would choose to have dinner with my Grandma. We were very close while I was growing up and she had so many interesting experiences and stories to share.

What’s the most courageous thing you’ve ever done?
I left my desk job and opened my own fitness studio. It was terrifying, but the best decision that I ever made!

Whom do you secretly admire?

I admire people that face and overcome their fears every day. They inspire me to strive to do the same in my own life.

Who’s your favorite rockstar (actual or figurative) and why?

My favorite group of rockstars is my POUND Posse that rocks out in my classes every week! They remind me why I love what I do and after class, I always feel so refreshed and re-energized.

What’s one thing you’d tell your 13-year-old self?
Don’t be afraid to be yourself and break out of your shell! Awesome things will happen when you step out of your comfort zone.
