What is the difference between an active POUND Instructor and an inactive POUND Instructor that still teaches the format?️
An active POUND Instructor is a licensed POUND Pro with a current subscription to The Label. This means they’re officially certified to teach, they’re receiving updated choreography and music, and they have access to all Pro resources that keep their classes safe, accurate, and aligned with POUND standards.
An inactive POUND Instructor is someone whose Label subscription has been cancelled or has lapsed. Once a Pro becomes inactive, they’re no longer licensed to teach any POUND format. They don’t have access to choreography updates, safety guidelines, or teaching resources, and they’re not authorized to offer classes under the POUND name.
For participants and facilities, this difference matters because only active Pros can deliver classes that follow the official POUND program, safety structure, and current choreography.
If you ever need to verify an instructor’s status, you can always email us at POUND HQ, and we’ll confirm whether someone is certified and actively licensed to teach.
We’re here to help keep every class safe, consistent, and ready to ROCK. ️
What is THE LABEL? ️
The Label is the heart of the POUND ecosystem. It’s our online instructor platform and the place where every POUND Pro stays inspired, informed, and fully equipped to teach. If you want to bring the magic of POUND to your community, The Label is where it all begins and where it stays strong.
Inside The Label, you’ll find a constantly growing library filled with everything you need to run powerful, addictive classes. This includes every new music track, every fresh round of choreography, and all the tools that help you plan, promote, and deliver sessions your participants will love. It’s also your direct line to the POUND team, your fellow Pros, and the most up‑to‑date news in our world.
Think of it as your all‑access pass to coaching, creativity, and connection. You’ll get marketing assets, teaching resources, Pro perks, education opportunities, and the support needed to build and sustain your fitness career.
Your Label membership also serves as your active teaching license, which means an up‑to‑date subscription is required to keep your certification valid and continue teaching any POUND format you’ve trained in.
The Label is $29.99 USD per month or $299 USD per year, with the annual option saving you $50.
If you’re ready to teach, grow, and stay connected to the POUND community, The Label is where you belong.
What is the price of The Label subscription? ️
The cost of The Label depends on how many POUND Programs you are subscribed to.
Your first POUND Program
- $29.99 USD per month, or
- $299 USD per year
This gives you full access to The Label resources for your first certified POUND Program.
Additional POUND Programs
- Each additional program is $5 USD per month, or
- $50 USD per year
You can add or remove additional POUND Programs at any time.
How Adding a Program Works
- Adding a Program in the middle of your subscription period will result in a pro-rated charge for your first month or year and then will be reflected in full at your next renewal date.
Example If your first certification is POUND Rockout. Workout., your subscription is $29.99 per month or $299 per year. If you later become certified in POUND Unplugged, you can add access to that program’s resources for an additional $5 per month, or $50 per year, depending on your billing cycle, immediately.
If you have questions about your subscription or want help adjusting your programs, Rockstar Support is always here for you.
What is virtual POUND Pro training?
A virtual POUND Pro training is an 8-hour course that will provide you with everything you need to know to get started teaching POUND. Attending a virtual POUND Pro training provides you with a similar experience that you would have if attending one of our in-person training, the main difference being that you will be connecting with your ICON and fellow POUND Pros via video webinar. After attending a virtual POUND Pro Training you will have earned the license to teach POUND* and the ability to call yourself a POUND Pro*.

What platforms can we use to stream virtual POUND or Generation POUND Classes? ️
When it comes to streaming your classes, the goal is simple. Create a space where you can see, connect with, and support your participants in real time.
We strongly recommend using private, interactive platforms that allow for two-way engagement. This helps you maintain the energy of the POUND Program while also keeping your participants safe and supported.
Platforms that work well include:
- Zoom
- Other secure video conferencing tools that allow face-to-face interaction
These types of platforms give you the ability to:
- See your participants and monitor movement
- Offer real-time cues and modifications
- Build connection with your community
We do not recommend streaming classes on public social platforms like Facebook. Those environments limit your ability to interact directly and make it harder to ensure proper guidance and safety.
If you’re using Zoom, their free plan is a great starting point for many Pros, especially for classes under 40 minutes with smaller groups.
At the end of the day, the best platform is one that keeps your class personal, interactive, and aligned with the POUND experience your participants know and love!
What should I bring to my training?
- Water and snacks (we’ll break for 45 minutes at lunch)
- A pencil or pen + notebook
- Comfortable shoes (barefoot acceptable)
- Layered fitness clothing (stay warm during lecture and cool during choreography)
- A rockstar attitude
What should I wear to my virtual training?
- Anything that you can move freely in and feel confident wearing! You can choose to participate wearing athletic shoes or barefoot, whatever is safe and most comfortable for you! Because the day is filled with both choreography and lectures, having layers to put on and peel off can help keep you warm when seated and cool while moving.

What’s the difference between a demo and a Masterclass?️
A demo is a short preview of a POUND format that any licensed POUND Pro can lead. It’s designed to introduce people to the workout, share the vibe, and get participants excited. Demos are completely independent, which means they don’t require involvement or approval from POUND HQ.
A Masterclass is a different experience. It’s an official POUND HQ–sponsored class that features one of our elevated instructors, such as a Tour Crew member or a POUND ICON. Masterclasses showcase the format at its highest level and are often part of special events, trainings, or large community experiences.
Both are powerful ways to share the magic of POUND, but demos are led locally by any active Pro, while masterclasses are hosted through POUND HQ and guided by our advanced team.
What’s the difference between Ripstix® and a regular drumstick?️
Ripstix® are bright green, lightly weighted, quarter‑pound exercise sticks created specifically for every POUND format. They’re shorter than a standard 5B wooden drumstick, but they create a similar sound when they hit the mat. The big difference is in how they’re engineered.
Ripstix are made from durable, high‑quality plastic that can handle repeated impact, fast movements, and long sessions. They support proper form, help activate upper‑body muscles, and are built for safety throughout every strike and repetition. Because they’re made from non‑porous material, they’re also easy to clean and disinfect between classes.
Traditional 5B wooden drumsticks are designed only for playing drums. They’re not built for high‑intensity fitness use, they can splinter or break with repeated impact, and they’re harder to sanitize because of their porous surface.
Ripstix are a core part of the POUND experience, giving you the feel of a drummer with the function of a fitness tool.
You can learn more about Ripstix here.
