What is POUND Rockout Workout?

POUND® – ROCKOUT WORKOUT is the electrifying cardio jam session inspired by drumming! The workout combines cardio, Pilates, isometric movements and plyometrics with constant simulated drumming – all to loud, kick-ass music. An energizing, infectious, sweat-dripping workout, each strike of the Ripstix releases a primal aggression as well as a neuromuscular reward of mixing sound and movement. POUND allows you to truly become the music.

Are there any prerequisites to taking POUND Pro Training?

Nope! Just the desire to ROCK.

What Happens After Training

After completing POUND Pro training, you are officially licensed and READY TO ROCK. You will be given a month of free access to our instructor portal, The Label, where you’ll have unlimited access to choreography videos and everything you need to successfully launch and promote your classes!

What is POUND Unplugged?

POUND Unplugged is a 30-minute class that balances focused, high- intensity movements with restorative stretches, breathwork and meditation. Quick, efficient and challenging, the workout guides participants through a deeply intentional journey designed to promote the health and fitness of the whole person – mental, physical and emotional.

Using Ripstix, exercise drumsticks, POUND Unplugged connects mind, body and sound to create immersive, sensory experiences unlike anything you’ve experienced in a group fitness class.

What is the cost of virtual training?

The cost to attend a virtual POUND training is $339. The training materials include a digital manual and a complimentary pair of Ripstix® for your training. Once your training is less than 20 days away, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your shipping address. If you register for training on the day-of training and do not receive the aforementioned email, reach out to our Customer Service team here.

If you do not receive your Ripstix® before training, not to worry! You can still participate without Ripstix®!

What is the difference between a paid Virtual Course and a free Virtual Workshop?

While both are incredibly valuable continued education opportunities, PAID Virtual Courses are longer and award CECs/CEUs as well as POUND Education Hours when attended live, while FREE Virtual Workshops are shorter and awarded one (1) POUND Education Hour when attended live. PAID Virtual Courses will offer the ability to purchase the recording for six (6) months after the course is aired live while FREE Virtual Workshops will offer the ability to view for free the recording for seven (7) days after the workshop is aired live.

What is the difference between an active POUND Instructor and an inactive POUND Instructor that still teaches the format?

An active POUND Instructor is a licensed POUND Pro with a current subscription to The Label. This means they’re officially certified to teach, they’re receiving updated choreography and music, and they have access to all Pro resources that keep their classes safe, accurate, and aligned with POUND standards.

An inactive POUND Instructor is someone whose Label subscription has been cancelled or has lapsed. Once a Pro becomes inactive, they’re no longer licensed to teach any POUND format. They don’t have access to choreography updates, safety guidelines, or teaching resources, and they’re not authorized to offer classes under the POUND name.

For participants and facilities, this difference matters because only active Pros can deliver classes that follow the official POUND program, safety structure, and current choreography.

If you ever need to verify an instructor’s status, you can always email us at POUND HQ, and we’ll confirm whether someone is certified and actively licensed to teach.

We’re here to help keep every class safe, consistent, and ready to ROCK.

What is THE LABEL?

The Label is the heart of the POUND ecosystem. It’s our online instructor platform and the place where every POUND Pro stays inspired, informed, and fully equipped to teach. If you want to bring the magic of POUND to your community, The Label is where it all begins and where it stays strong.

What platforms can we use to stream virtual POUND or Generation POUND Classes?

We understand the need to stay connected to your community, but we do ask that you not stream classes on Facebook or other social platforms, for many reasons. Specifically the ability to see and interact with your participants, face-to-face. We are recommending private platforms like Zoom, who offers free services for classes under 40 minutes and less than 100 people

What should I bring to my training?

  • Water and snacks (we’ll break for 45 minutes at lunch)
  • A pencil or pen + notebook
  • Comfortable shoes (barefoot acceptable)
  • Layered fitness clothing (stay warm during lecture and cool during choreography)
  • A rockstar attitude

What should I wear to my virtual training?

    • Anything that you can move freely in and feel confident wearing! You can choose to participate wearing athletic shoes or barefoot, whatever is safe and most comfortable for you! Because the day is filled with both choreography and lectures, having layers to put on and peel off can help keep you warm when seated and cool while moving.
